High-res Chuck Pagano Medically Cleared To Return As Head Coach - The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Chuck Pagano has been medically cleared to return as the Indianapolis Colts’ head coach. Pagano still must decide if he’s physically up to the task and the Colts must determine he’s ready as well. “Medically, he’s 99 percent recovered from my standpoint,” Dr. Larry Cripe of IU Health Simon Cancer Center said. “I have placed him on no restrictions.’’ Cripe announced Nov. 5 that Pagano was in remission and Pagano concluded a third and final round of chemotherapy Dec. 4. Interim coach Bruce Arians is hopeful Pagano returns to the team’s complex Monday and resumes his full responsibilities. The Colts close the regular season Dec. 30 against Houston at Lucas Oil Stadium. Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia Sept. 25 and immediately hospitalized.
