JETS WORKOUT RECEIVERS LAURENT ROBINSON AND AUSTIN COLLIE - With training camp starting this week and the unknown return date for No. 1 option Santonio Holmes, the New York Jet worked out a pair of wide receivers on Monday, former Jaguar Laurent Robinson and former Colt Austin Collie, ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports. Both receivers are looking to sign with a team after having problems with concussions over the past few years. Robinson had a breakout season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2011. Reeling in 54 receptions for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns, which led the team that season. The Jaguars signed him to a five-year, $32.5 million contract in 2012. But the team released him this offseason after his issues with concussions. Robinson has since filed a grievance with the team and claimed that he wasn’t ready to be cleared when the team gave him the green light to play. Collie, who returned in 2012 from his concussion issues he suffered in 2011, only had one catch before suffering a torn patellar tendon that caused him to miss most of the season last year. The highly-skilled possession receiver has also had workouts with the 49ers and Patriots. Both these players could be a big help to the Jets, if they could stay healthy.
