DASHON GOLDSON HAS ONE-GAME SUSPENSION UPHELD - Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson has been suspended one game without pay for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White.Goldson had his appeal hearing Tuesday, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports. Goldson requested an expedited decision. Ultimately, appeals officer Ted Cottrell decided to uphold the suspension.The NFL announced the suspension Monday, stating that Goldson will serve the one-game ban during Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions.It marked the third time this season that Goldson, who signed a lucrative offseason contract to join Tampa Bay, has been penalized by the league for an illegal hit.The ban will cost Goldson a $264,705 game check.Goldson was issued a one-game suspension for his Week 2 hit on New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles, but beat the suspension, receiving a $100,000 dollar fine.Goldson also was fined $30,000 for striking a defenseless player in the head and neck area in the season opener against the New York Jets.
