-WORILDS WANTS TO STAY WITH STEELERS,BUT ONLY AS A STARTER-
Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker and impending free agent Jason Worilds would prefer to stay in Pittsburgh, but only if promised a starting job, per the National Football Post.
"If the circumstances are right, for sure," Worilds said. "They haven’t been right for me in the past. I wouldn’t want to fall back into (not starting) again.
"I’ve just been patient and (waiting to) see how the Steelers view me. The biggest thing is just being in the right situation. … It’s been rough just to get on the field, especially when you probably could have helped the team in years past, but you just weren’t given an opportunity. The opportunity came this year, and I did well with it."
He did indeed. Worilds was placed in the starting lineup on Oct. 20 with the Steelers at 1-4. He helped the team finish at 8-8 with 63 tackles and eight sacks, including six in his last eight games. (Photo: USA TODAY Sports)
